The Minister of Finance, Ambassador Khamis Mussa Omar (MP), has met with a delegation from Switzerland-based financial institution Koenig & Bauer as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the country’s financial sector and strengthen international cooperation.
The delegation, led by the Regional Director for Africa, Mr. Jan Quitmeyer, held discussions with the Minister at the Ministry of Finance sub-offices on Madaraka Street in Dar es Salaam.
The meeting focused on exploring potential partnerships and opportunities that could contribute to financial sector development and economic growth.
Also present at the meeting were senior advisors from Koenig & Bauer, Ms. Sorah Thomhnair and Mr. Ronald Rwankangi. From the Ministry, the Acting Commissioner of the Financial Sector Development Department, Ms. Dionisia Mjema, and the Minister’s Secretary, Mr. Abeid Mzee, attended the discussions.
The engagement highlights the government’s continued commitment to working with international institutions to promote investment, innovation, and sustainable development in the financial sector for the benefit of citizens.
