The NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League resumes today, January 16, with a single fixture scheduled to take place in Dodoma, where Dodoma Jiji FC will host Singida Black Stars at the Jamhuri Stadium.

The match is expected to be a closely contested affair, with both teams expressing confidence in their preparations as they return to league action.

Speaking to journalists ahead of the encounter, Singida Black Stars head coach David Ouma said his side has had productive preparations and will approach the match with maximum respect for their hosts.

He acknowledged the quality within the Dodoma Jiji squad, stressing that discipline, tactical execution, and focus will be key factors in determining the outcome.

“As we head into this match against Dodoma Jiji FC, the most important thing is to respect our opponents. They have good players, and the difference will be how well each team executes its game plan on the pitch,” Ouma said.

On the other side, Dodoma Jiji FC head coach Amani Josiah confirmed that his squad is fully fit, with no injury concerns ahead of the clash.

He said the team is well prepared and motivated to deliver a strong performance in front of their home supporters.

Josiah added that the technical bench is confident the players will implement the tactical instructions given during training sessions conducted after the league break.

“We believe the preparations we made after returning from the break will reflect positively in this match. The players understand their responsibilities, and our aim is to secure positive results at home,” Josiah said.

The Jamhuri Stadium fixture is expected to attract a large crowd, as both Dodoma Jiji FC and Singida Black Stars look to collect crucial points as the league campaign continues.
