Vice President Nchimbi meets Zanzibar President to strengthen union cooperation

Vice President of Tanzania, Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, held a key meeting with Zanzibar President and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, at the State House in Zanzibar to strengthen collaboration on issues that directly affect citizens’ lives.

Dr. Nchimbi emphasized that closer cooperation between the Union government and Zanzibar is essential to ensure better delivery of public services, economic opportunities, and social development programs. 


He noted that working together at leadership level can bring tangible improvements to communities across the country.

President Mwinyi welcomed the discussions and assured the Vice President that Zanzibar will actively work with his office to address union-related matters and implement projects that improve infrastructure, education, health services, and livelihoods for ordinary Tanzanians.


The meeting also served as an opportunity for Vice President Nchimbi to introduce himself and reinforce a shared commitment to initiatives that create real, positive change for citizens, signaling a new phase of partnership between the Union government and Zanzibar leadership.
