Traders in Mtwara are urging the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) to provide continuous tax education to help business owners stay updated on changes in tax laws and support new entrepreneurs entering the market.
The request came on October 21, 2025, during a seminar on the Special Desk for Business Empowerment held at the Nanyamba Town Council offices.
The session was led by TRA Tax Compliance Officers, Mr. Salim Bakar and Mr. Ramadhan Kilowoko, in partnership with Nanyamba Town Business Officer, Mr. Yusuph Mwalupupa.
Traders highlighted that regular guidance from TRA would make it easier for them to comply with tax regulations, avoid mistakes, and grow their businesses responsibly, contributing to the local economy.
