Zanzibar President and Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Vice Chairman, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has called on party members to safeguard unity and solidarity as the nation prepares for the October 2025 General Election.
Dr. Mwinyi, who is also CCM’s presidential candidate for Zanzibar, delivered the message on Wednesday during a meeting with aspirants for various leadership positions, including councillorship, parliamentary seats, House of Representatives seats, and special seats.
The session was held at Nyamanzi Conference Hall in Urban West Region.
He stressed that internal cohesion is central to CCM’s success, urging members to place party interests above personal ambitions to ensure a decisive win at the polls.
“Unity and cooperation must guide us so that Chama Cha Mapinduzi remains in power and secures a resounding victory in this year’s General Election,” Dr. Mwinyi said.
The meeting was part of the party’s broader efforts to consolidate its structures and prepare candidates for the electoral contest.
