The stage is set for a showdown as KIUT and Jeshi Stars clash in the men’s final of the Tanzania Volleyball National League (TVNL) today at MwembeYanga grounds in Dar es Salaam.
The women’s final will see defending champions Tanzania Prisons take on Bandari in what promises to be another electrifying encounter.
KIUT booked their place in the final after overcoming JKT 3-1 in the third semifinal match last night, clinching the series 2-1.
Jeshi Stars, meanwhile, eliminated the defending men’s champions Tanzania Prisons with a convincing 3-0 win in their third semifinal, also taking the series 2-1.
KIUT spokesperson Daniel Kusekwa emphasized the team’s determination to settle scores with their rivals.
“This is a derby match. Our earlier encounter was tough, but we emerged victorious. Today, we are focused on performing at our best and achieving a strong result. We are determined to avenge the championship they took from us in the Dareva League,” Kusekwa said.
He also called on fans to turn out in large numbers to witness a high-stakes final filled with skill, intensity, and entertainment.
