Zimbabwe’s Vice President, (Ret.) Colonel Kembo Campbell Mohadi, arrived in Tanzania on August 30, 2025, for a two-day official visit, marking another significant step in the strengthening of diplomatic and bilateral ties between the two nations.
The visit, which concludes on August 31, 2025, comes at the invitation of Tanzania’s Vice President, Hon. Dr. Philip Isdor Mpango.
Vice President Mohadi’s arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam was met with a warm reception by Tanzania’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. Cosato Chumi, along with senior government officials.
The visit signals a renewed commitment between Zimbabwe and Tanzania to build on their historical relationship and explore new opportunities for cooperation.
Vice President Mohadi will engage in talks with his Tanzanian counterpart, Dr. Philip Isdor Mpango, at the State House in Dar es Salaam.
The focus of the discussions is expected to revolve around shared strategic interests, including regional integration, educational exchange, and agricultural innovation.
Beyond the talks, Vice President Mohadi will visit key Tanzanian institutions such as the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership School in Kibaha, the Kaole Livestock and Agriculture Institute in Bagamoyo, and the African Liberation Heritage Centre in Dar es Salaam.
These visits are intended to promote a deeper cultural and educational exchange, while also exploring how both countries can work together in sectors that impact their economic and social growth.
