Young Africans to face Wiliete Benguela in CAF Champions League

By The Respondent Reporter

Young Africans SC will begin their quest for continental glory with a preliminary-round clash against Angola’s Wiliete Benguela SC in the 2025/26 CAF Champions League, scheduled to take place between September 19 and 21, 2025.

The Tanzanian champions will host the Angolan outfit in the first leg, seeking to establish an early advantage before the return fixture.

Yanga, buoyed by their recent domestic triumphs, are targeting a deep run in Africa’s premier club competition after falling short of the ultimate prize in previous seasons.

Wiliete Benguela, making their maiden appearance in the tournament, will look to cause an upset against one of East Africa’s most accomplished teams. This encounter will mark the first competitive meeting between the two clubs.

CAF will confirm the exact match date, venue, and kickoff time in due course. The aggregate winner will progress to the second preliminary round, edging closer to a coveted spot in the group stage.
