Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Chairperson and presidential candidate for the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, has formally collected her nomination forms from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2025 General Election.
The forms were handed to her yesterday by INEC Chairperson, Court of Appeal Judge Jacobs Mwambegele, during a brief ceremony at the Commission’s headquarters in Njedengwa, Dodoma.
After receiving the documents, Dr Samia, who is seeking a second term in office, held aloft the bag containing the forms a symbolic gesture marking the start of her official journey toward the October polls.
The handover is part of the electoral calendar, which requires all candidates to collect and submit completed nomination forms within the stipulated timeframe.
With the process now underway, political parties are expected to intensify preparations for the campaign period.
