The Tanzania Football Veterans Union (UMSOTA) has announced that its Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on August 31 at its headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
In an interview with The Respondent online, UMSOTA Chairman Faza Lusozi highlighted that the meeting will focus primarily on active members who have consistently paid their membership fees.
Lusozi stressed the importance of compliance with the union’s constitution, noting that many members have failed to meet their financial obligations over an extended period.
He cautioned that members who do not pay their dues risk being removed from the union, following a resolution expected to be adopted at the AGM.
“Members who fail to pay their fees will be removed in accordance with the resolution passed by the AGM. It is unfair for members to demand support when they have not contributed. Our goal is to maintain a committed and active core membership,” Lusozi said.
The union is currently intensifying efforts to encourage members to settle their dues ahead of the meeting. Other agenda items include reviewing past achievements, addressing challenges faced over recent years, and outlining strategic plans for the future of UMSOTA.
