On May 21, 2025, Pepsi Tanzania, through its manufacturer and distributor SBC Tanzania Ltd, has officially renewed its celebrated partnership with Tanzanian music icon Diamond Platnumz.

The renewed collaboration, first launched in 2018, aims to deliver even more vibrant and memorable moments for fans across the country.

Announcing the renewal at a press event in Dar es Salaam, SBC Tanzania’s Marketing Manager Jasper Maston praised the long-standing relationship and the influence it has had on the brand's growth.

“For 24 years, SBC Tanzania has delivered not just beverages but also joy, culture, and innovation. Our partnership with Diamond is more than a business deal. It’s a celebration of Tanzanian spirit, creativity, and resilience,” Maston said.

Since 2018, Pepsi and Diamond Platnumz have worked together on major campaigns such as Mkubwa Wao, Mwamba Wao and the current Pepsi Thirsty for More

The initiatives have built a strong emotional bond with the youth and helped solidify Pepsi’s place as a top soft drink in Tanzania.

“Diamond Platnumz embodies the boldness and authenticity that Pepsi stands for,” added Maston.

His passion, creativity, and connection with the people, according to him, reflect Pepsi brand’s vision. The journey is about more than just products—it’s about purpose and pride.

Diamond Platnumz, one of Africa’s most influential artists, thanked Pepsi for believing in his vision.

“I’m excited to continue this partnership. Pepsi has been part of my journey, and together, we’ve created something that speaks to the heart of every Tanzanian ,” he said.

The renewed deal will bring more high-energy events, youth-driven campaigns, and community-focused projects.

Both parties have promised fresh surprises to keep the nation inspired and entertained.

Fans can expect Diamond’s presence in upcoming Wasafi Festival tours, where Pepsi will feature as a major sponsor.

These events are set to highlight local talent and celebrate Tanzanian culture.

“To our fans: Your love drives us. To our partners: Your trust empowers us. And to Diamond: Thank you for being the heartbeat of this journey,” Maston concluded.

The Pepsi-Diamond partnership continues to set the tone for how brands and artists can collaborate to create lasting impact and national pride.
