On April 14, 2025, CPA Amos Makalla, Secretary for Ideology, Publicity, and Training in the National Executive Committee (NEC) of Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), lauded President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her dynamic leadership, highlighting her substantial contributions to Tanzanian society through practical and impactful actions.

Speaking to residents of Mtama Constituency in Lindi Rural District, as he wrapped up a 10-day tour of Lindi and Mtwara regions, Makalla emphasized that President Samia is not merely a leader of promises, but one who delivers real change on the ground.

“President Samia Suluhu Hassan has made a remarkable impact, reaching every part of Tanzania—from the smallest villages to the largest towns.

Her leadership has brought about significant improvements in key areas, including water, electricity, education, health services, road infrastructure, and the construction of administrative buildings,” said Makalla.

He pointed out that these tangible improvements have directly enhanced the lives of citizens across the country, reinforcing the idea that Samia’s leadership is one of action and results.

Makalla also highlighted the recent establishment of the Mtama District Council, which he hailed as a milestone in local governance.

He explained that, by creating this new council, many services that were previously distant from the people would now be more accessible.

“The creation of the Mtama District Council is a significant development. It will ensure that services are delivered more efficiently and in a timely manner, directly benefiting the residents of Mtama,” Makalla said.

He emphasized that this move would enhance governance and provide better opportunities for the people in the region to engage with local government.

In addition to this, Makalla encouraged Tanzanians to continue supporting government initiatives, particularly the warehouse receipt system, which he described as a vital tool for agricultural transformation.

The system, he explained, has been instrumental in improving the agricultural sectors of cashew nuts, pigeon peas, and sesame, helping farmers access financial resources and create sustainable growth.

“The warehouse receipt system is revolutionizing farming, and its impact is being felt in the fields. This initiative is a powerful tool that is making a real difference for our farmers,” he stated.

Makalla assured Tanzanians that CCM would continue to prioritize their concerns, offering a manifesto that addresses the country’s most pressing issues with practical solutions.

Makalla welcomed Hamis Mtanda, the former District Secretary for Lindi Rural from the opposition party CHADEMA, who had recently joined CCM along with several of his colleagues.

He urged CCM members in Mtama to offer their full support to the new members, saying their inclusion would strengthen the party’s grassroots base and expand its reach in the region.
