As is customary, the Easter season is often celebrated with a variety of events marking the occasion.
The non-governmental organization, Mama Ongea na Mwanao, which is dedicated to various social causes, has officially announced the upcoming Easter festival, Mtoko wa Pasaka, set to take place on April 20 this year. The event will be organized in collaboration with gospel artists from across the country.
Speaking to the media, the Chairperson of Mama Ongea na Mwanao, Steve Mengele (Steve Nyerere), expressed that they have united with gospel musicians to celebrate Easter in a meaningful way.
In keeping with the organization’s tradition of hosting community-focused events, they are also committed to providing medical supplies for pregnant women in district-level hospitals across the nation.
Christina Shusho, one of the featured artists for this year’s festival, shared her excitement, emphasizing that this year’s event will be unique and will also involve participants from neighboring countries to join in the celebrations.
This year’s Mtoko wa Pasaka will carry the theme, "With Prayer, You Will Overcome," and will feature prayers for peace and stability in Tanzania, as well as prayers for the country's leaders.
