Simba SC supporters will be allowed into Uhuru Stadium for Wednesday’s CAF Champions League second-round first-leg match against 15 de Agosto after the Angolan side agreed to their request, the club has said.
Simba’s Information and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, said talks between the two clubs had been concluded, paving the way for fans to attend the match scheduled for October 21, 2026, in Dar es Salaam.
The development ends uncertainty over supporters’ access to the stadium, with Simba having pushed for permission to allow fans to attend despite the club being designated as the away side for the first leg.
“We have continued to push for fans to be allowed into the stadium, and eventually our opponents agreed,” Ally said.
He urged supporters to buy tickets early once the club announces the prices, saying their presence would help motivate the players.
Ticket prices are expected to be announced soon.
For fans unable to attend the match, Simba plans to install a large screen at Mwembe Yanga to allow them to follow the game.
The return leg is scheduled for October 25 at the same stadium, with Simba designated as the home team.
Playing both legs in Dar es Salaam gives the clubs a familiar venue for the two encounters, although the first-leg designation means Simba will officially be the away side.
The aggregate result over the two matches will determine which team advances to the next stage of the continental competition.
