Vice-President Deogratius Ndejembi has urged voters in Chamwino Constituency to give CCM parliamentary candidate Nettho Ndilito a resounding victory, saying continued support for the ruling party would help sustain development gains in the area.
Mr Ndejembi made the appeal on Friday when he joined party leaders and supporters at the launch of Dr Ndilito’s parliamentary election campaign in Dabalo Village, Chamwino District, Dodoma Region.
He cited improvements in access to essential social services, including water, electricity, roads, schools and health facilities, as key areas in which the constituency had benefited from government investment.
“The best way to sustain these achievements is to elect Dr Ndilito so that he can continue overseeing the implementation of CCM’s election manifesto in the constituency,” he told the gathering.
Mr Ndejembi, who is also a member of CCM’s Central Committee, attributed the development projects to the Sixth Phase Government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan, who also chairs the ruling party nationally.
He urged residents to support Dr Ndilito, arguing that a strong mandate would enable him to continue pushing for development initiatives and improved social services in Chamwino.
The Vice-President also called on other aspirants who contested CCM’s internal nomination process to set aside their differences and unite behind the party’s candidate.
He said cooperation among party members would be important in mobilising support for Dr Ndilito ahead of the election.
Mr Ndejembi, who previously represented Chamwino in Parliament, pledged to maintain his engagement with residents and continue supporting efforts to advance development in the constituency.
He thanked President Samia for the development projects implemented in the area and urged residents to continue supporting her as she carries out her national responsibilities.
The Vice-President also expressed appreciation to Chamwino residents for their cooperation during his tenure as their MP, saying he valued their contribution to the constituency’s development.
The campaign launch was attended by CCM Central Committee members, members of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), MPs, councillors and other residents.
The event marked the formal launch of CCM’s campaign to secure the Chamwino parliamentary seat under Dr Ndilito’s candidacy.
