The Mining Commission has released indicative prices for gold, silver and copper, with gold trading at a world market price of $4,386.10 per troy ounce on September 11, 2026.
The commission’s daily price schedule shows that the international gold price translates to TZS373,846.86 per gram.
The indicative mineral market price has been set at TZS336,462.18 per gram, while the buying centre price stands at TZS328,985.24 per gram.
Silver is quoted at $65.71 per troy ounce on the world market, equivalent to TZS5,600.76 per gram. Its indicative mineral market price is TZS5,040.68 per gram, with buying centres expected to pay TZS4,928.67 per gram.
Copper is priced at $6.79 per pound internationally, translating to TZS39.69 per gram. The mineral market price is TZS35.72 per gram, while the buying centre price is TZS34.92 per gram.
The published prices provide a reference for mineral transactions and are intended to guide traders and buyers operating within Tanzania’s mineral markets.
The figures may also help miners and mineral traders assess prevailing market values when negotiating sales through authorised buying centres.
