Tanzania's Mining Commission has released the latest mineral indicative prices, showing gold maintaining its record-breaking rally on global markets, while silver and copper also remained firm.

According to the commission's indicative prices for July 27, 2026, the international gold price reached $4,082.30 per troy ounce, translating to TZS 348,200.69 per gram in the domestic market.

The commission set the mineral market price for gold at TZS 313,380.62 per gram, while the buying centre price was fixed at TZS 306,416.61 per gram.

Silver also posted strong prices, with the world market value standing at $58.33 per troy ounce, equivalent to TZS 4,975.27 per gram

For copper, the global benchmark price was quoted at $6.31 per pound, equivalent to TZS 36.91 per gram. The Mining Commission set the mineral market price at TZS 33.22 per gram, while the buying centre price was pegged at TZS 32.48 per gram.

The indicative prices are published regularly by the Mining Commission to provide a transparent pricing benchmark for mineral trading across Tanzania.

They are used by licensed mineral markets and buying centres in determining purchase prices, helping to promote fair trade, improve transparency and strengthen revenue collection within the mining sector.

The latest update comes as gold prices continue to benefit from sustained global demand for safe-haven assets, with Tanzania's mining sector expected to continue benefiting from elevated international commodity prices.
