STOCKHOLM. Tanzania and Croatia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding areas of cooperation following a meeting between the two countries' ambassadors in Sweden.
Tanzania's Ambassador to Sweden, Swahiba Mndeme, paid a courtesy call on Dr. Sinisa Grgić on June 1, 2026, where the two diplomats discussed ways to advance cooperation and promote partnerships of mutual benefit.
The meeting highlighted the longstanding friendship between Tanzania and Croatia, with both sides expressing their determination to further deepen diplomatic engagement and collaboration in areas of shared interest.
As Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Sweden, Ambassador Grgić also shared insights from his diplomatic experience, outlining opportunities for strengthening international cooperation and enhancing relations among diplomatic missions accredited to Sweden.
Ambassador Mndeme commended Ambassador Grgić for his extensive knowledge of Tanzania and welcomed his continued support in promoting stronger ties between Tanzania, Croatia and Sweden.
During the meeting, Ambassador Grgić presented Ambassador Mndeme with a copy of his book, Sweden and Tanzania: Bilateral Navigation for Diplomats and Business Leaders 2025.
The publication provides practical guidance for diplomats, investors and business leaders seeking to strengthen engagement between Tanzania and Sweden.
It also highlights a 50 percent bilateral similarity index between the two countries, underscoring the growing opportunities for cooperation in trade, investment and diplomacy.
