Simba Queens head coach Mussa Hassan Mgosi has said the team’s next target is to complete the Tanzania Mainland Women’s Premier League season unbeaten, following their successful capture of the 2025/26 title.

The Dar es Salaam giants were officially crowned champions after a dominant 5-2 victory over Mashujaa Queens in a match played at KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam.

Mgosi said winning the league is a significant milestone for the club, but emphasized that the team remains focused and disciplined as they prepare for the remaining fixtures.

He noted that the technical bench will continue to conduct detailed match reviews, analyzing both strengths and areas that require improvement to ensure the team maintains its high standards.

“We are proud to have achieved our main objective of winning the league title, which has been a long-term ambition for the team. However, we now have another important target of finishing the season unbeaten,” said Mgosi.

He added that the remaining matches will not be easy, as every opponent will be highly motivated to challenge the newly crowned champions.

Mgosi further credited Simba Queens’ success this season to strong player commitment, tactical discipline, and consistent support from the club’s leadership and management.

Meanwhile, Simba SC Head of Communications Ahmed Ally praised Mashujaa Queens for their competitive display despite the defeat, noting that they pushed the champions throughout the match.

He said the technical team’s adjustments following their previous fixture against Tausi Queens played a key role in improving performance and securing positive results.

“We are delighted to have won the title. The team has delivered on its objective at a high level, and now we have two matches remaining before we are officially handed the trophy,” said Ally.

Simba Queens now shift their attention to the final two league matches, with a clear ambition of finishing the 2025/26 season unbeaten and setting a new benchmark in Tanzanian women’s football.
