Tanzanian Ambassador visits TPA Offices in Zimbabwe

By The Respondents Reporter

The Ambassador of Tanzania to Zimbabwe, CP Suzan S. Kaganda, recently visited the offices of the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) in Harare and held discussions with the TPA Representative in Zimbabwe, Ms. Kulthum Boma.

Ambassador Kaganda’s visit forms part of a key initiative under Tanzania’s Economic Diplomacy Policy, aimed at identifying and enhancing TPA’s role in facilitating cargo transport from Tanzanian ports to Southern African countries, including Zimbabwe.

Ms. Kulthum highlighted that the office, which handles marketing and customer services, has contributed significantly to the increase in cargo shipments entering Zimbabwe via Tanzanian ports since its official opening in 2023.

Commending these achievements, Ambassador Kaganda emphasized the importance of close collaboration between TPA offices and the Embassy.

She called for joint efforts to organize stakeholder and business forums in Zimbabwe, leveraging such platforms to raise awareness and educate about the use of Tanzanian ports an effort expected to further contribute to national revenue growth.
