Peace restored in Tanzania boosts economy and social wellbeing

Residents of Dar es Salaam have expressed deep gratitude to President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her decisive leadership in restoring peace and stability following the unrest that affected parts of the country in late October 2025.

That the return of calm has allowed them to resume daily activities and continue their economic pursuits without fear. 

Bi. Haddar Omari Salehe, a local entrepreneur, stressed that peace is the cornerstone of development worldwide and vital for economic growth.

“Peace is everything. When there is peace, it brings relief and enables us to work and earn our livelihoods. Right now, we are grateful to God. We pray for peace to continue and wish Mama Samia all the best,” she said.


Other residents echoed her sentiments, noting that stability is essential for business, education, and social harmony. 

Analysts say that sustained peace not only fosters economic growth but also strengthens social cohesion, encouraging investment and community development.

With the nation now enjoying restored calm, citizens are optimistic about the future, emphasizing that continued peace will provide the environment needed for prosperity and social progress.
