The winner of a popular TVS HLX 125 bodaboda motorcycle won through the digital platform Piku, Nestory Augustine, has encouraged young people across the country to be bold in engaging with legitimate and trustworthy digital platforms, describing them as one of the opportunities that can help improve their economic well-being.

Speaking shortly after receiving his prize, Augustine said he was initially hesitant to participate in online games due to the many cases of fraud often reported on digital platforms.

However, after conducting his own research and satisfying himself that Piku operates legally and transparently, he decided to take part.

“At first, I did not believe it at all, especially because of the many online scams. But after doing my own assessment and confirming that Piku is a legitimate and genuine platform, I decided to participate. The result is that I have won this bodaboda,” he said.

Augustine added that the win has strengthened his confidence in the platform, prompting him to become a positive ambassador for Piku.

He said he is ready to encourage other young people to participate responsibly and in line with established procedures, so they can access opportunities to improve their economic lives.

Meanwhile, a Gaming Inspector from the Gaming Board of Tanzania (GBT), Elibariki Sengasenga, commended Piku for complying with the laws and regulations governing gaming activities in the country, particularly in the process of identifying winners through its digital auction system.

Sengasenga said transparency, adherence to the law and timely delivery of prizes to rightful winners are key factors in building public trust and addressing potential challenges within the sector.

“We commend Piku for observing all laws, regulations and procedures in conducting their digital auctions. This is an important step in safeguarding the interests of participants,” he said.

On his part, Piku Africa’s Media and Communications Manager, Barnabas Mbunda, urged the public to continue joining the digital platform to participate in various auctions offered through Piku Combo, noting that the products on offer are of high value and are designed to meet real community needs.

Mbunda said some of the current auctions include a book token worth TZS200,000 from Elite Book Store, aimed at supporting students and readers to enhance their knowledge.

He added that there is also a School Combo, which includes a school bag, a mathematical set and other essential learning materials.

He further noted that the College Combo features a laptop, a laptop bag, a 16GB flash disk and a pocket WiFi device with 20GB data to help university students meet digital learning demands.

According to Mbunda, other major auctions currently available on the Piku platform include a brand-new Toyota Raum vehicle, a gold set and Tanzanite valued at Sh6 million, items that have continued to attract strong public interest.
