The Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has renewed its commitment to delivering efficient and high-quality services to taxpayers, emphasizing that excellent service is a core responsibility, not an option.
Speaking during the ongoing mid-year performance review meeting in Arusha, TRA Commissioner General, Mr. Yusuph Juma Mwenda, highlighted the authority’s efforts to address taxpayers’ concerns, improve service delivery systems, and enhance staff efficiency.
“Providing quality services to taxpayers is fundamental. It builds public trust and encourages voluntary tax compliance, which is essential for our country’s development,” Mr. Mwenda said.
The meeting, which reviews TRA’s performance from July to December 2025, also focuses on formulating strategies to further improve service delivery in the next half-year.
TRA’s renewed focus reflects its determination to make interactions with taxpayers smoother, more responsive, and more transparent, reinforcing the authority’s role in supporting Tanzania’s economic growth.
