Simba SC head coach Steven Barker has voiced strong confidence in his squad ahead of their upcoming match against Muembe Makumbi City, saying his players are fully prepared for what he expects to be a challenging encounter.

Barker acknowledged that Simba have limited technical information about their opponents but insisted that this will not affect his team’s approach or performance.

He said the Reds have focused on thorough preparation to ensure they remain sharp, disciplined and competitive throughout the match.

“Muembe Makumbi City is not a team we know very well, but that will not distract us. We have prepared adequately, and the players are ready both mentally and physically,” Barker said.

The coach added that Simba’s main objective is to maintain consistency and secure victory as they continue their campaign, emphasizing that commitment, concentration and teamwork will be crucial in achieving a positive result.

Simba midfielder Hussein Semfukwe also expressed confidence in the team’s readiness, noting that the players are determined to execute the coach’s tactical instructions effectively.

“To achieve our goals, it is important for us as players to follow the coach’s guidance. We are fully prepared and ready to fight for our club,” Semfukwe said.

He further urged Simba supporters to turn out in large numbers to support the team, describing the fans’ backing as a key source of motivation for the players.

The match is scheduled to be played tomorrow, with Simba aiming to make a strong start in the competition and reinforce their ambitions for success this season.
