Masters swimmers in Tanzania have been called to register for the Open Swimming Championship, which will take place on September 27 at the Championrise Pool in Dar es Salaam.

The event, organized under the Tanzania Swimming Association (TSA), is designed for swimmers aged 25 and above, offering them a competitive platform to showcase their skills and improve their personal times.

Jeremiah Keema, Technical Director of Masters Swimmer, confirmed that at least 15 participants have already signed up. He encouraged more swimmers to take advantage of the registration window, which closes tomorrow evening.

“Preparations are underway to ensure the competition is held with professionalism and intensity. Athletes are training seriously, and we expect a strong display of talent,” said Keema.

According to him, the championship will also serve as a pathway for top-performing swimmers to qualify for the Zone Three Swimming Championship, scheduled for October in Nairobi, Kenya, where Tanzania hopes to field a competitive team.
