More than 30 countries from Africa, Asia, and Europe are showcasing cutting-edge mining technologies and equipment at an international exhibition that opened today at the Diamond Jubilee Hall in Upanga, Dar es Salaam.

The event, organized by Expo Group, was officiated by the Chairperson of the Mining Commission, Ms. Janeth Reuben, who underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening Tanzania’s investment climate in the mining sector.

“The mining sector is a vital pillar of Tanzania’s economy. We welcome investors to seize this opportunity to exchange knowledge, explore new technologies, and build partnerships that will advance the sector for the benefit of Tanzanians,” Ms. Reuben said.

Expo Group Director, Mr. Duncan Njange, noted that the exhibition was designed to connect local and international stakeholders while showcasing innovations and business opportunities.

“This platform is about creating linkages between Tanzanian companies and global industry leaders, ensuring that our mining sector benefits from modern solutions and sustainable practices,” he said.

The exhibition has drawn ambassadors, senior government officials, and private sector representatives. Attendees are engaging with advanced equipment for exploration, mineral value addition, and refining, while discussing strategies to boost the sector’s competitiveness globally.

Running concurrently with exhibitions on building materials and water research, the event will continue until September 26 and is expected to attract hundreds of industry stakeholders from inside and outside Tanzania.
