Fans have been urged to turn up early at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium this evening as the Taifa Stars take on Madagascar in a crucial fixture.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information, Culture, Arts and Sports, and Government Spokesperson, Mr. Gerson Msigwa, said stadium gates will open at 2:00 p.m. to give supporters ample time to enter and rally behind the national team. The match kicks off at 8:00 p.m.

The day’s programme will begin with a curtain-raiser between the Central African Republic and Mauritania at 5:00 p.m.

“We encourage Tanzanians to arrive on time to secure tickets and watch both matches. The government has already covered the ticket costs so that fans can attend free of charge,” Mr. Msigwa said.

Authorities have arranged the early opening to ease entry, manage crowd flow and enhance the match-day experience.

Fans are also being urged to observe stadium regulations and maintain order throughout the event.
