Government enhances citizen feedback systems

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ally Gugu, has launched a three-day training session to build the capacity of officers handling citizen feedback within the Ministry and its security agencies. The goal is to improve service delivery to the public.

Speaking in Dodoma on January 15, 2025, Gugu emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring all complaints, suggestions, and commendations from citizens are handled promptly and transparently.

“Managing feedback isn’t just about resolving complaints. It’s about strengthening the relationship between the government and citizens by valuing their input,” he said.

He highlighted the introduction of the 2023 Citizen Feedback Management Guidelines to help public institutions manage feedback professionally and effectively.

Gugu urged the participants to use the training to improve services, build public trust, and promote good governance.

Registrar of Civil Societies Emanuel Kihampa praised the training, saying it would help feedback officers implement President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s 4R philosophy effectively.

“This training will improve service delivery and enhance the Ministry’s image, contributing to peace and stability in the country,” Kihampa added.
