The quarter-final stage of the CRDB Federation Cup for the 2025/2026 season will be played on May 16 and 17, with top teams set to battle for a place in the semi-finals in what promises to be a thrilling phase of the competition.

According to fixtures released on April 17, 2026, Simba SC face a tough assignment against TRA United at Meja Jenerali Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Another key clash will see Yanga SC take on JKT Tanzania at the same venue, in a match expected to attract significant attention given both teams’ ambitions in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Azam FC will travel to Kigoma to face Mashujaa FC at Lake Tanganyika Stadium, as they seek to maintain their push for the title.

In Tanga, Singida Black Stars will be away to Coastal Union at Mkwakwani Stadium in a fixture expected to be closely contested.

Winners from these matches will advance to the semi-finals scheduled for June 2026, before the final is played at the end of the Mainland Premier League season.

The champion will secure both the domestic title and a place in international competitions.

Speaking after the draw, Yanga SC representative Hafidh Salehe praised the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) for organising a fair process and said his team is ready for the challenge.

“We respect JKT Tanzania, they are a good team. But our goal is to defend the title, so we will fight with everything we have,” he said.

Simba SC representative Hamisi Kisiwa said they are preparing for a difficult encounter.

“We will not underestimate TRA United. We will approach the game with full concentration to achieve our objective of winning the trophy,” he said.

JKT Tanzania representative Masau Bwire said the team is determined to go further than in previous editions.

“We want to show our quality. Our goal is to reach the next stage and continue performing well in this competition,” he said.

He added that organisers, during a virtual session after the draw, emphasised the importance of proper preparations and the high level of competition expected in the quarter-final matches.
