The question of who will secure a spot in the final of the CRDB Federation Cup Simba SC or Singida Black Stars will be answered tomorrow as the two sides clash in a highly anticipated semifinal match at Tanzanite Kwaraa Stadium.

Speaking to journalists today, May 30, 2025, in Babati, Manyara, Simba assistant coach Selemani Matola reaffirmed his team’s ambition to reach the final, stating that they are fully focused and prepared for the challenge ahead.

“Our objective is clear we want to play in the final of the Federation Cup,” Matola said. “We’re coming off a league victory just two days ago, and although that match was about securing three points, tomorrow is a knockout match. We’ve approached it differently and prepared accordingly.”

He acknowledged the strength of their opponents, adding, “Singida Black Stars are a good team with quality players, but we’re determined to give our best and secure the win.”

Matola also revealed that the team would conduct their final training session today, after which the head coach will decide the starting lineup for tomorrow's match.

Simba left-back Mohamed Hussein echoed his coach’s confidence, saying the players are ready and eager to take instructions from the technical bench and execute them during the match.

“We’ve had good preparations, and today we’ll finalize things with the coaches. We’re fully committed to the task ahead,” Hussein said.

On the opposite bench, Singida Black Stars head coach David Ouma said his team is approaching the match with full focus and respect for the competition, emphasizing that their goal is not just to reach the final—but to win the title.

“We’re observing all the key principles of the game, and my team will remain disciplined and focused,” Ouma said.

“As Singida Black Stars, we’re not concerned about the reputation of our opponents. We have our own strategy, and we believe the CRDB Cup gives us a great opportunity to win silverware.”he added

Singida forward Eliuter Mpepo added that the team is in high spirits and ready for what he described as a “special” semifinal.

“All the players are physically and mentally prepared. We're disciplined and ready to give it our all,” Mpepo said.

“What happened in our previous matches is in the past—we’re focused on tomorrow and determined to get a positive result.”he added

The winner of tomorrow’s clash will advance to the final of the 2025 CRDB Federation Cup, bringing them one step closer to lifting the coveted trophy.
