Yanga, Simba flex muscles in derby clash

Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam is all set to host the traditional derby Community Shield semi-final match between Young Africans against Simba today.

The thrilling game is scheduled to kick-off at 7:00 pm as the two heavyweight teams in the country battle for an opportunity to venture in the finals.

A lot has been said about this titanic clash by supporters of either team as well as football analysts but the truth will be out when the final whistle is blown.

Historically, there has never been an easy game whenever these giant teams are playing basing on the fact that derbies are usually unpredictable.

However, before the derby encounter, another last four game will unfold at New Amaan Sports Complex in Zanzibar where Azam interface Coastal Union from 4:00 pm.

This marks the first time that the community shield fixture is being played in Zanzibar hence an opportunity for Isles residents to witness the mouth watering game within their territory.

The finale of 2024 community shield alongside the third place finish will be held at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the city on Sunday.
