Tanzania startup ecosystem gathers to shape national startup policy

By The Respondents Reporter

Across Africa, dedicated policies are reshaping how startups thrive. Tanzania is now taking decisive steps to ensure its startup ecosystem has the framework to grow, attract investment, and compete globally.

Yesterday, the Tanzania Startup Association (TSA) convened ecosystem leaders for the Tanzania Startup Policy Hackathon.

The session brought together founders, investors, academia, and corporates to review and provide structured input on the draft National Startup Policy.

Participants worked in thematic groups covering governance, finance, talent, and market access to generate actionable recommendations for TSA’s consolidated submission to the Ministry of Information, Communication and Information Technology.

TSA remains committed to coordinating the ecosystem and advocating for policies that unlock growth and competitiveness for Tanzania’s innovation economy.
