Njombe Market Traders trained on clean cooking energy

By Our Reporter

Traders at Njombe Main Market have undergone training on clean cooking energy, part of efforts to encourage the shift from environmentally harmful fuels such as firewood and charcoal.

Emiliana Muhagama, one of the beneficiaries, said the training helped traders understand the benefits of using clean energy sources like gas and electricity in their daily business operations.

“This training has given us a deeper understanding of how clean energy reduces environmental pollution and protects our health from smoke produced by firewood and charcoal,” she said.

She added that using clean energy also saves cooking time, allowing traders to manage their businesses more efficiently.

Muhagama urged women and other business operators to adopt clean cooking energy, noting that gas and electricity are safer, more time-efficient, and support environmental conservation for both current and future generations.
