The Bank of Tanzania (BoT) has announced several job vacancies for qualified Tanzanian citizens as part of efforts to strengthen service delivery and improve operational efficiency within the country’s central bank.
In a public notice issued on March 12, 2026, the central bank invited applications from Tanzanians with the required skills, knowledge and professional competencies to support the institution in carrying out its statutory responsibilities.
According to the notice, the recruitment exercise is aimed at building a highly professional workforce capable of promoting innovation, integrity and efficiency in the execution of the bank’s core functions.
The bank said the employment opportunities are open to suitably qualified Tanzanians who meet the required academic and professional qualifications.
“All Tanzanian citizens who meet the required qualifications and criteria are encouraged to submit their applications through the Government Recruitment Portal,” the notice stated.
Applicants are required to submit their applications through the Ajira Portal managed by the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, which handles government recruitment processes.
The central bank advised interested candidates to visit the recruitment portal to view the list of available positions and submit their applications within the required timeframe.
The notice was signed by Rahma S. Mahfoudh, Deputy Governor for Administration and Internal Control at the Bank of Tanzania.
The Bank of Tanzania plays a key role in maintaining monetary stability, regulating financial institutions and ensuring the sound functioning of the country’s financial system.
